Class 3 and 4 worked together this week to discuss the importance of washing their hands!
Together they used the 6 Thinking Hats to have a debate:
The Yellow hat was for the good points
The Black hat was for the bad points
The Red hat was for feelings
The Green hat was for ideas
The White hat was for the facts
Finally the Blue hat for next steps.
We all had a lot of fun during our interesting debate. The outcome was that hand washing is very very important and even though it might take a long time and can sometimes be a bit boring it just MUST BE DONE!
Our message to send home is ….
Don’t spread germs wash your hands!
These children in class 4 had either 99% or 100% attendance last term!
FANTASTIC!
A big WELL DONE to our winners!
This week in class and assembly we have been thinking about our 2017 New Years resolutions.
We came up with some brilliant ones.
I hope we can all stick to them!
Class 4 met Santa today and received a lovely gift.
What a great day to end a brilliant term!
See you back in school in 2017 everyone
In class 4 we made vegetable soup!
We had so much fun peeling and chopping all of the vegetables: carrots/parsnip/turnip/potatoes/onions
We blended the mixture once it was cooked to make it smooth, then we added salt and pepper to the soup to give it lots of flavour.
In the afternoon it was time to taste the soup with some yummy bread to dip in. We all thought it was delicious!
We drew and labelled all of the vegetables that we used, as well as evaluating the process. We wrote about ….
what we liked doing the most, what the strongest flavours were and what we would do differently next time. We gave the soup a rating out of 5 to end the day.
Take a look at the pictures of us all cooking below ….
Class 4 have been learning about Baboushka in RE in this week.
The children could sequence and retell the story, as well as being able to find comparisons between the story of Baboushka and the Christmas story we perform in our nativity production.
.
Class 4 can sequence the events of Traditional Tales by creating story maps.
Class 4 definitely do have talent!
Whats your thing……?
Good luck fundraising today for Children in Need.
