A huge thank you to the grown-ups who attended the Year 1 Easter Story evening on Tuesday and Wednesday night. The children were read the story ‘We’re Going On An Egg Hunt’ before doing lots of different Easter activities. They made Easter baskets, created paper shape chicks, designed their own eggs and even made their own Easter cakes and biscuits! Miss Wilson x
We had a lovely day at the Word yesterday. We made Lego models and programmed them to move using a motor. We also made our own platform games using 2Simple.
In our PSHE lesson we have been learning all about road safety. We know that it is important to cross the road with an adult. We must always stop, look and listen before we cross.
In Class 1 this week we have been learning all about measuring. We received a letter from the giants asking us to measure their footprints. we found out which one was the longest and then worked out which would be the tallest giant. We’ve also explored tape measures in pairs measuring lots of items around our classroom.
Year 2 performed at the the Customs house on Wednesday evening and were amazing. They have worked very hard practicing the songs with Mr Richardson this term. Well done!
Class 4 had an amazing time on their trip to The Word. They used 2Create on the laptops to create some brilliant Barnaby Bear animations. They even got to go into the green screen room and record a video about Barnaby Bear’s travels!
On Thursday, C3 took part in the Athletics Festival at Temple Park. This consisted of the class being put into two groups and making their way around different circuits and activities. We had a blast – and felt super fit afterwards! A huge well done to Class 3 who were so incredibly well behaved, too. We had a fab time. On Friday it was our class assembly and C3 put on a BRILLIANT performance for Red Nose Day. I am a super proud teacher, right now! Miss Wilson x
The children have enjoyed learning all about the life cycle of a frog. They have sequenced each step and described what happens in each. They have also been making their own frogs.
The children had an amazing time for world book day dressed as Kings and Queens. They even got to meet the captain of South Shields FC who came in to read stories to them.
Everyone in Class 4 had a brilliant time at the Athletics Festival at Temple Park Centre. They took part in a range of athletics activities and had lots of fun!
