As part of Child Safety Week we have been finding out about water safety. We looked at a range of different water safety flags and discussed their meanings. We know that if you see a red flag on the beach it means: ‘Danger! Do not enter the water!’
In maths we enjoyed working together to find fractions of amounts. We focused on finding halves and quarters.
Class 4 went on a flower hunt to find out how many types of flowering plants are in our school garden. We found daisies, dandelions and blossom.
We identified the different parts of a flower and found out about what each part does.
Class 4 have been reading o’clock and half past times in their maths lessons this week. We also had fun solving some time word problems.
Everyone in Class 4 had a fantastic time visiting Openzone @ The Word this week. We had fun using 2Create on the laptops to design an outfit for Barnaby Bear and even made our own story with moving characters! Then we visited the green screen room to record a video all about Barnaby Bear’s travels. We went to London, France, China and Australia. 🙂
Class 4 also did brilliantly in their assembly all about ‘being healthy’. Lots of wonderful acting and singing. Well done, Class 4!
In Class 4 we have had lots of fun using the brand new running track. It is great for keeping our brains active and keeping us fit!
