We have been reading the story ‘A Cold, Dark Night’. We followed instructions for how to make a clay hedgehog.
We have been learning how to move our bee bot bugs forwards and sideways. WE have been making races and obstacle courses for them to go over, under and around objects.
This week we have been looking at different shaped foods. We made our own pizzas and used our literacy skills to read the recipe and our maths skills to count out the ingredients. We watched the pizza go from a circle into a triangle when we cut a slice to eat.
This week we have been learning about birthdays. We played a guessing game where we had to guess what was inside each present by looking at the shape and feeling it.
We have had lots of fun and made lots of new friends.
We have been doing lots of counting and sorting this week. We have been sorting buttons according to shape, colour and size.

We have been using our adding machine to help us find the total of two numbers.
Class One had lots of fun at their Christmas party. We played lots of games and had some delicious party food.
In Class One this week we have been preparing for Christmas by making and writing cards, writing letters to Santa and learning how to wrap presents.
We have had lots of fun practising our throwing and catching skills in P.E with Mr Simpson.
