This week we have enjoyed lots of circus themed activities for World Book Day. On Thursday we all dressed up and joined in with circus themed activities such as tightrope walking, hoopla and strongman.


















This week we have enjoyed lots of circus themed activities for World Book Day. On Thursday we all dressed up and joined in with circus themed activities such as tightrope walking, hoopla and strongman.
The 2 year old children have been busy learning all about different types of transport. They have made cars to travel in. Used cars to make tracks. Drawn their own pictures of transport.
The 30 hour children have been learning about what is underground. They have been digging in the garden to see what they could find. They found lots of worms, and even some flowers that had started to grow. So they looked at the roots and decided that they would like to make some flowers of their own.
The children in the main room are learning all about Space. We have our own space station in the classroom with a rocket!
We have been very busy making planets this week to put in the Space area. It took us a very long time.
We even made our own alien pictures!
We enjoyed lots of fun activities this week, showing our friends how much we loved them and making Valentine cards for our families.
This week we have been celebrating The Year of the Dragon. We have been learning all about why the years are named after animals, and who cheated when competing in the race across the river.
We have been learning how to use chop sticks, made lanterns, plates of noodles, noodle prints, dragon masks and the 30 hour children even made their own spring rolls.
The 2 year old groups have been making homes for Ginger the cat. They have used lots of different resources small and large, and they have been working together in a team.
The 30 hour children have been enjoying all of the recent changes in weather recently and having lots of fun exploring a range materials to show the different types of weather.
Some of the 2 year old children have been reading the story about Harry the Dirty Dog. They then made their dogs really dirty, made dirty foot prints and then washed their dogs to make them nice and clean again.
We have enjoyed a very busy and exciting first week back to Nursery. We have been meeting new friends, and are learning about lots of different types of animals. We have been playing in our jungle looking for wild animals.
We have had a fantastic time this week in Nursery.
We have enjoyed a party where we played lots of games and did lots of dancing. We were all very tired, especially the staff.
We have even had a visit from someone very special. Can you guess who it was?
The children have been busy little elves this week making lots of lovely things to take home.
They have made reindeer food, wrote letters to Santa, made wrapping paper, made biscuit baubles, made ornaments from dough, made angels, made snowflakes and hand-print wreaths just to name a few.
