As part of our Design Technology topic the children in Class 6 have designed and made delicious fruit kebabs.
Class 6 did a fantastic assembly all about friendship. We are very proud of you all!
We have loved being back at school with our wonderful Class 6 children this morning They enjoyed telling us all about their summer holidays, drawing lovely pictures and writing all about themselves. Everyone is full of smiles and having lots of fun!

This week we have had a visit from a dance instructor who did an African dance workshop with the children. The children really enjoyed it and learnt lots of African dance moves.
Class 3 had a fantastic time at Gibside this week and enjoyed lots of outdoor fun. They participated in shelter building, searched for mini beasts, and created beautiful natural artwork using things like sticks, mud and flowers. 🌿🌸🌼☀️🐞🕷🐛🦋
Class 3 wrote some fantastic Summer senses poems this morning using lots of adjectives, nouns and verbs. ☀️
Class 3 have been learning all about different types of trees and labelling the parts of a tree. The children enjoyed identifying the trees in our school grounds. They found beech, sycamore, elder, hawthorn and birch trees! 🌲🌳🌿
Our butterflies are fully grown and ready to fly! 🦋
Class 3 have absolutely loved watching their caterpillars go through the different life cycle stages to become beautiful butterflies. They all had a chance to hold the butterflies this afternoon before we set them free.
The children also did a fantastic whole school assembly this week, which was all about how to be healthy and live a healthy lifestyle.
What an amazing life cycle experience we are going through at the moment. Our caterpillars have spun into cocoons! It won’t be long until we see some beautiful butterflies emerging. 🦋
