The 30 hour children have been enjoying all of the recent changes in weather recently and having lots of fun exploring a range materials to show the different types of weather.
Some of the 2 year old children have been reading the story about Harry the Dirty Dog. They then made their dogs really dirty, made dirty foot prints and then washed their dogs to make them nice and clean again.

We have enjoyed a very busy and exciting first week back to Nursery. We have been meeting new friends, and are learning about lots of different types of animals. We have been playing in our jungle looking for wild animals.
We have had a fantastic time this week in Nursery.
We have enjoyed a party where we played lots of games and did lots of dancing. We were all very tired, especially the staff.
We have even had a visit from someone very special. Can you guess who it was?
The children have been busy little elves this week making lots of lovely things to take home.
They have made reindeer food, wrote letters to Santa, made wrapping paper, made biscuit baubles, made ornaments from dough, made angels, made snowflakes and hand-print wreaths just to name a few.

Don’t we look lovely in our Christmas Jumpers?

The children have been learning all about the Japanese artist Yakoi Masuma. She paints pictures and makes models, covering everything in dots.
They have spent this week making their own models using clay, junk and paper mache. They will be decorating them in the style of Yakoi next week.
The 2 year old children have been exploring the colour brown. They made some fantastic hand-print owls and hedgehogs.
Some of the children used clay and matchsticks to make their hedgehogs.
Some of the children mixed their own shades of brown to make their owls.

We have been making artwork in the style of Jackson Pollock

We have also been painting like Piet Mondrian, using squares and rectangles.
We enjoyed Pudsey Bear day and all came to Nursery wearing ‘What makes us happy’.
We played hide and seek, trying to find where Pudsey was hiding in the classroom.
We also coloured in and made masks and decorated Pudsey’s face with pom poms using tweezers.
