Our amazing Supertatos. We used a variety of materials to create our very own Supertato and we were amazing at having our own ideas and choosing our materials independently.

This week we have introduced our Book Voting Station.
The children have loved discussing the different books and talking about their reasons for choosing a book.
There are so many aims of our book voting station
🌟 Allowing our children to have their own say
🌟 Early understanding of voting and democracy.
🌟 Discussing their opinion with peers
🌟 Developing a love for reading
This week in Class 2 we have started to read Supertato.
We have designed our own Supertatos (ready to make next week), we then labelled our Supertato using initial sounds. We created our own super vegetables, demonstrating fantastic scissor control! We then discussed what super powers our vegetables have. In our Maths area we helped Supertato to catch all of the evil peas by using a spoon to count out the correct amount of evil peas to match the numeral.

I can’t believe we have come to the end of our time together in Reception. What an incredible year. Class 2 have been absolute super stars and made me beam with pride every single day! I have loved watching the confidence, resilience and independence of each child grow throughout the year.
I will miss them all so much but can’t wait to see them in Year 1 showing off all their amazing skills and knowledge.
You will always be my super stars Class 2🌟
I have been so impressed with Class 2s morning challenges over the last few weeks! The beautiful handwriting, correct spellings of tricky words and incredible imagination has me beaming with pride!! 🤩💗

We had a fantastic time on our trip to Hardwick Park! We loved listening to the stories, pond dipping and discussing the various creatures, going on a hunt to find Bog Baby and also learning all about how to look after the world around us!

We are absolutely amazing at automatically recalling number bonds to 5. Without any prompts or aids, we can tell you each number bond to five. Amazing work, Class 2 🤩
In Maths this week we have been sharing into groups of 2, 3 and 5.
Class 2 were absolutely fantastic at this, they could share one by one to ensure it was fair and they could also identify when one group had more or less, meaning it was unfair.
