Class 6 had a fantastic trip to Openzone at The Word this week. The children enjoyed creating Lego duck animations using the StikBot app. They also created moving Lego theme parks using a coding app called Spike Education. A great time was had by all!
In our Science lesson this week, Class 6 went on a walk around our school grounds to search for minibeasts in different microhabitats. We found lots of minibeasts, including woodlice, spiders, worms and caterpillars! The children then completed pictograms to show which minibeasts they had found. ️

In our Design Technology lesson the children have enjoyed designing, making and eating fruit kebabs. They were very safe and sensible when holding the skewers, and enjoyed choosing from a range of fruit, including strawberries, pineapple, bananas and tangerines. Delicious!
Class 6 have enjoyed reading Starry Eyed Stan, a story all about friendship and working together. They used a range of adjectives to write some lovely sentences describing Stan the starfish!
We’ve had a great first day with our Year 2 children. They had lots of fun exploring their new classroom and completing a range of writing, maths and art activities.
We have had a lovely week doing lots of summer activities, playing outside and having fun during our Summer Evening.
Well done to all of our wonderful Year 2 children for such a fantastic year this year. We are incredibly proud of you all. We will miss you lots but we know you will have an amazing time in your new schools!
Year 2 had a great time on their trip to South Shields last week. They enjoyed being on the ferry, visiting the Museum, looking at the famous landmarks, visiting Marine Park and having fun at the beach. A lovely day was had by all!
A huge congratulations to all of our Year 2 children who did such a fantastic performance of their Summer Show – The Lonely Dragon. Their singing, narrating and acting was absolutely brilliant! We are so very proud of you all!
