Design and Technology has been full of hands-on excitement in Class 4! Inspired by autumn and the changing seasons, our young sculptors set out to create their very own 3D woodland creature.

We started with detailed planning sketches, where pupils mapped out the unique textures and features of animals like hedgehogs, squirrels, and owls. Moving from paper to clay, they mastered key sculpting skills—rolling, pinching, scoring, and smoothing—to build impressive solid forms. To finish, the children evaluated their final pieces against their initial designs, reflecting on their artistic choices and what they learned along the way.
