Our Class 5pupils have been getting creative in Design and Technology, taking inspiration from the changing seasons to craft a wonderful collection of woodland creatures.
The children began by designing their favourite autumn animals on paper, thinking carefully about textures, shapes, and features—from the spiky coats of hedgehogs to the bushy tails of squirrels and the wide eyes of owls.
Once their designs were complete, it was time to roll up their sleeves and get hands-on with clay! Using a variety of techniques such as rolling, pinching, smoothing, and scoring, the pupils transformed their 2D sketches into fantastic 3D sculptures.
Take a look at the gallery below to see some of their fantastic work! We are so proud of the creativity, patience, and attention to detail everyone displayed throughout the project.
