Year 2 had a visit from Katie at Science Buddies who told us all about the new wind farm that is being built at Dogger Bank in the North Sea. It will be the world’s largest wind farm. Each phase of the built will bring 1.2 gigawatts of energy – that’s enough to light up to 10 million light bulbs!
The children had so much fun working in teams to create their own wind turbines just like the ones being built at Dogger Bank. They then tested out their wind turbines to see if they would work and edited their designs to make them work more effectively.
