The School Council members and some of the other children in school helped to create a brilliant display in our school corridor to tell visitors all about our running track. Our school also featured in the local newspaper this week. Read all about it here:
In this meeting, the school council members thought about ways that they could change the school lunchtime menu to make it healthier. They decided that they would ask the children in their class what they would like to see on the menu and then discuss their findings with Mr Walker at South Tyneside Catering Service.
In this meeting the School Council members met up to discuss the results of the questionnaires that they had previously sent to each class to find out the children’s views on what sort of running track we should get for the school. The children came up with lots of great ideas for our running track and chose the most popular design, colour and layout for the track.
This was the last school council meeting of the academic year. The children were incredibly pleased to have received a letter from Hospitality and Hope Food Bank thanking them for arranging the themed lunch, whereby all proceeds went to the charity to help individuals and families in crisis in the local community.
We had a little tea party as a celebration of all our hard work and everything we have achieved this year. Well done, everyone!
